It has been reported that the Australian Convergence Review Committee is due to release its interim report on the 15th December 2011. The Committee will then present a final report to Government in March 2012.
The Committee released five detailed papers for comment in September 2011.
As well as considering a large number of submissions the Convergence Review committee also interacted through Twitter under the hashtag #converg.
Once the final report has been presented to Government it will be interesting to see if the Government ultimately has an appetite for change. The analogue switchoff which is due to occur at the end in December 2012 may hurry things along.
